Please use our calendar function at checkout to select the delivery date that is convenient to you. We will do our best to meet your selected date, however we are ultimately dependent on our couriers and Australia Post for deliveries outside local Launceston area and interstate. We do not deliver Sunday or on public holidays (except for Mother's Day or Valentine's Day in which different delivery conditions apply).
Local Launceston delivery (10km radius from Tasmanian Hamper Co. depot, South Launceston) will be same day for orders received by 3pm weekdays and 11am Saturdays. There is no local delivery fee for hamper orders, within 10km of our store. We aim for all deliveries to reach business addresses by 5pm and residential addresses by 6pm.
Rest of Tasmania delivery will be next business day dependent upon distance and courier availability and restrictions. We cannot deliver outside Launceston local area on Saturdays or Sundays but will aim for next business day. For more remote areas please expect next day plus one. Please note some parts of Tassie are too remote for our couriers, so we will refund you if we cannot deliver the hamper. If your order is outside the local Launceston (10km radius from Tasmanian Hamper Co. depot, South Launceston) area delivery fee starts at $18.
For interstate hamper delivery we use Australia Post Express Post with delivery time approximately 2-3 business days (longer for Darwin or if outside of the metropolitan area in each state). For interstate deliveries we will not include salmon pate or soft cheeses in hamper but will make up the balance with other quality Tasmanian produce to the same or higher value. Interstate deliveries will only be posted on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesdays to reduce risk of not being delivered before the weekend. The fee for interstate delivery is $35. Flowers cannot be delivered interstate.
If no one is home when your gift is delivered
If no one will be home, you may nominate a place for the gift to be left in 'Notes' at check out. For our driver or courier delivered hampers, driver will leave the hamper somewhere safe out of sight near the door. If there is nowhere safe or protected to leave the gift or weather conditions are unfavourable, the customer will be called for further directions, or the gift will be returned to the store. The hamper can be re-delivered on the next available delivery run and will incur another delivery fee, or can be collected from the store. For Australia Post deliveries, if no one is home a slip will be left in the mailbox, and the hamper can then be collected from the local Post Office, as per normal Australia Post parcel delivery.
If your gift contains flowers
Some hampers have the option of adding fresh flowers or come with flowers. As flowers cannot be sent interstate, they can only be included for local Launceston area delivery, or for most Tasmania statewide deliveries. If the hamper must be sent by Australia Post to reach the destination, no flowers can be included, including within Tasmania. Unless otherwise notified, we will replace flowers with equivalent value in additional hamper items.
If your gift contains alcohol
Please note that alcohol is provided on our website as an added gift. It cannot be ordered as a one-off product but must accompany other hamper items. Under Tasmanian Law alcohol cannot be left unattended or with a minor.
